Papdi chaat is the perfect snack that appears to be colourful, has a variety of flavours in every bite, and can be prepared in just minutes. Perfect to make a Holi get-together when guests come to meet and greet, as it perfectly matches the playful mood of the festival.
20–25 papdi (store-bought) 1 cup boiled potatoes (small cubes) ½ cup boiled chickpeas (optional) 1 cup thick curd (whisked, chilled) 3 tbsp tamarind chutney 3 tbsp mint-coriander chutney 1 small onion (finely chopped) ½ cup sev 1 tsp chaat masala ½ tsp red chilli powder 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds Salt to taste
On a plate, arrange 20–25 papdi in a single layer. Keep a little space between them so that the toppings can spread evenly.
On each papdi, put 1–2 teaspoons of boiled potato cubes and a few boiled chickpeas. Lightly sprinkle salt and chaat masala as per taste.
Over the papdis, add 1–2 tablespoons of whisked curd evenly. Make sure the consistency of the curd is thick.
Drizzle a little imli chutney and mint chutney from the top across the plate to get those sweet, spicy, and tangy taste notes in every bite.
Sprinkle some finely chopped onions, red chilli powder, extra chaat masala, fresh coriander leaves, sev, and pomegranate seeds, if you like, to get that crunch in every bite.
Serve immediately to your guests and enjoy the flavour of crisp, creamy, sweet, and tangy in every bite.
