During the 9-day-long festival Navratri, if you’re observing fasts, you’ll need some recipes every day. To add some variety to your meals and stick to no-onion, no-garlic dishes, here is a recipe for jeera aloo.
4-5 potatoes 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 2 green chillies 1/2 teaspoon amchur powder 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala Sendha namak to taste Oil for cooking
Boil the potatoes, peel the skin, and chop them into bite-sized pieces.
Heat some oil and add cumin seeds and green chillies. Add chopped potato pieces.
Mix in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and garam masala.
Season with amchur powder and sendha namak. Stir well till the potatoes are well-coated.
Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy.
