A paneer sandwich is a delicious and protein-packed snack made with spiced paneer filling between slices of bread. It can be grilled or toasted for extra crunch and pairs well with chutneys. This versatile sandwich is a quick option for breakfast, lunch, or tea-time snacking.
200 gms paneer (cottage cheese) 4 slices of bread 1 onion 1 tomato 1 green chilli 1/2 tsp cumin powder 1/4 tsp red chilli powder 1/4 tsp garam masala 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves 1 tbsp butter or oil Green chutney or ketchup Salt
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil or butter in a pan. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until soft.
Add tomatoes and green chilli, and cook until the tomatoes are soft. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, and garam masala. Stir well.
Add crumbled paneer and salt and mix. Turn off the heat and mix in the chopped coriander leaves. Let the mixture cool slightly.
Spread some green chutney or ketchup on one side of each slice of bread. Add a generous amount of the paneer filling onto one slice and cover it with another.
Toast the sandwich in a sandwich maker, grill pan, or on a tawa with a bit of butter until golden and crispy on both sides.
