Punugulu are bite-sized Andhra fritters that are golden, crispy, and utterly addictive. Made from dosa batter and aromatic spices, they’re perfect for snack time, tea time, or anytime you crave crunchy, flavorful bites
1 cup dosa batter 2 tbsp rice flour 1 finely chopped onion 1 green chilli A few curry leaves Pinch of baking soda (optional) Salt if needed Oil for frying
Mix the dosa batter and rice flour until the mixture reaches a dropping consistency.
Add onion, chilli, curry leaves, and baking soda.
Heat oil, and drop small spoonfuls of batter.
Fry on medium flame until golden and crisp.
Serve with coconut chutney or spicy tomato chutney.
