Chaas, also known as buttermilk, is a nourishing summer beverage that can keep your body cool. To make a thick glass of Punjabi-style chaas, all you need is five minutes. Here’s a step-by-step guide.

Ingredients

2 cups curd ¾ cup chilled milk 3-4 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon green cardamom pods Ice cubes

Step 1

Add curd, sugar, and crushed cardamom pods in a blender and blend till creamy.

Step 2

Blend in chilled milk to get a smooth buttermilk.

Step 3

Before pouring the chaas into glasses, add a few ice cubes.

Step 4

Garnish each glass with cardamom and mint leaves and serve.
