Punjabi-Style Atta Halwa For A Rich Dessert

Atta halwa is a traditional Punjabi dessert which is known for its simplicity and satisfying taste. With basic ingredients, here’s how to prepare the dessert that is frequently prepared in North Indian households.

Ingredients

1 cup atta 1/2 cup ghee 1 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder 1/2 cup water Chopped nuts for garnish

Step 1

Heat some ghee and add atta. Roast till golden brown and fragrant.

Step 2

Add sugar and stir well. Gradually mix water and mix till it thickens.

Step 3

Once the water is absorbed, add the cardamom powder. Turn off the heat.

Step 4

Garnish with shopped nuts and serve hot.
