No Punjabi meal is complete without a spicy chutney or achaar. To make a spicy chutney with onions, here is an authentic recipe. You can pair this chutney with your roti and sabzi, or even parathas.
1 onion 1 ginger 2 green chillies 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 small bunch of coriander leaves Salt to taste
Grind the onion, ginger, green chillies, and coriander leaves with a blender till smooth.
Heat some vegetable oil and add cumin seeds.
Pour the sizzling seeds onto the paste and mix well.
Mix in lemon juice and some salt to taste.
Store the onion chutney in an air-tight container and pair it with all your meals.
