Punjabi Palak Pakore To Munch Fritters With Your Tea

With the monsoon season just around the corner, pakoras are the perfect snacks to munch amid the pitter patter and cool breeze. To pair with your evening cup of chai, here’s how you can make palak pakore.

Ingredients

1 bunch fresh spinach 1 cup besan 1/4 cup water 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste Oil for frying

Step 1

Rinse and finely chop a bunch of spinach.

Step 2

Mix besan, red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt.

Step 3

Add water and mix till you get a smooth batter. Coat chopped spinach with the batter.

Step 4

Heat some oil and deep-fry small portions of the spinach mixture.

Step 5

Once golden brown, take the pakore out, drain excess oil, and serve with chutney.
