Pakoras are the popular Indian fritters that are just perfect to have in rainy weather. To incorporate the leafy greens, you can add palak. Here’s a quick recipe to make Punjabi-style palak ke pakore.
1 bunch fresh spinach 1 cup besan 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder Salt to taste Oil for frying
Rinse and chop spinach. Mix the pieces with besan and all the spices.
Add water to make a smooth batter.
Heat some oil and drop small portions of the batter and deep fry.
Once crispy, drain the pakoras and serve with your favourite chutney.
