Pumpkin Halwa Recipe For A Tasty Seasonal Dessert

Pumpkin tastes better in winter because the cold weather makes it denser, sweeter and naturally flavourful. The creamy and warm pumpkin halwa is a cosy, mildly sweet, buttery dessert with a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture which makes the dessert feel comforting without being too heavy.

Ingredients

2 cups grated pumpkin ½ cup sugar 2 tablespoons ghee ½ cup milk Cardamom powder, nuts

Step 1

Heat ghee in a pan and add the grated pumpkin.

Step 2

Cook over medium heat until it gets soft and begins shrinking.

Step 3

Add the milk and cook until it is absorbed fully.

Step 4

Add sugar and cook until the mixture gets thicker.

Step 5

Before serving, sprinkle cardamom powder and nuts on top.
