Step 1

In a bowl, mash the soaked soya granules and combine with the chopped spinach, cooked peas, green chillies, jeera powder, salt, besan, and crumbled paneer.

Step 2

Combine thoroughly to get a thick mixture. Add finely chopped walnuts for crunch, then continue mixing until everything is well combined.

Step 3

Add more besan if necessary to achieve the desired consistency. Shape the ingredients into little round or flat tikkis and set them aside on a platter.

Step 4

Heat a pan and shallow-fry the tikkis over medium heat until brown and crisp on all sides. Set aside.

Step 5

For the pepper dip, roast the bell peppers and dried red chillies until lightly charred, then peel the skin off the peppers.

Step 6

Make a smooth, slightly thick dip by blending the roasted bell peppers, red chillies, garlic, and salt. Add a dash of water if necessary.

Step 7

Serve the hot palak tikkis with the smoky roasted pepper dip on the side for a protein-rich, flavourful snack!
