Protein Packed Paneer Chilla For A Healthy Breakfast

Paneer Chilla is a protein-rich, savoury pancake made with gram flour and crumbled paneer, perfect for breakfast or a light meal.

Ingredients

1 cup besan (gram flour) 1/2 cup crumbled paneer 1/2 cup water (adjust as needed) 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing) 1 green chilli 1/2 inch ginger 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves Salt Oil or ghee 

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine besan, turmeric, red chili powder, cumin, hing, salt, green chili, and ginger. Add water gradually to form a smooth, lump-free batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Mix in crumbled paneer and chopped coriander leaves. Stir well.

Step 3

Grease a non-stick pan with a little oil or ghee and heat it on medium flame.

Step 4

Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin circle. Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.

Step 5

Once crisp and cooked through, remove from heat and serve with green chutney or yoghurt.
