Quickly whipping up a toast before heading to work is a usual sight. But instead of making a plain sandwich, make your breakfast or a mid-day snack rich in protein with this moong dal toast.
1 cup moong dal 6-8 slices of bread 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/4 cup chopped capsicum 2 tablespoons coriander leaves 1 green chilli 1 inch of ginger 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste Oil for cooking
Rinse and soak moong dal. Drain extra water and grind till you get a smooth paste.
Mix chopped onion, capsicum, coriander, green chilli, and grated ginger.
Add the veggies to the ground moong dal. Mix in all the species till well combined.
Take a bread slice, spread the mixture and toast it on a tawa or a sandwich maker.
Sprinkle some oil and grill the bread. Serve with ketchup or chutney.
