Lassi, the quintessential Indian yogurt drink, gets a modern nutritional upgrade with the use of Greek yogurt. By swapping traditional curd for a strained variety, you significantly increase the protein content, making it an excellent post-workout snack or a filling breakfast companion. Infused with aromatic cardamom and a hint of saffron, this version remains authentic in flavor while supporting muscle recovery and gut health.
1 cup plain Greek yogurt 1/2 cup chilled water (or milk for extra richness) 1–2 tablespoons honey or jaggery powder 1/4 teaspoon crushed cardamom seeds A few strands of saffron (optional) Crushed pistachios for garnish
In a blender, combine the Greek yogurt, chilled water, and sweetener of your choice.
Add the crushed cardamom and saffron strands.
Blend on high for 30–60 seconds until a thick, frothy layer forms on top.
Pour into a tall chilled glass.
Garnish with crushed pistachios and serve immediately.
