Protein-Packed Breakfast: Quick Moong Dal Chilla Recipe

Chilla is a soft and fluffy pancake made with yellow moong dal, veggies, and besan (gram flour). Rich in protein and vitamins, it serves as a healthy breakfast option for both children and adults.

Ingredients

1 cup moong dal 1 cup water 2 teaspoons oil 1/2 teaspoon ajwain 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/3 cup chopped onions 1/3 cup chopped tomatoes 1 green chilli 1 teaspoon grated ginger 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves Salt to taste

Step 1

Take a large bowl and mix besan, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, ajwain, and salt.

Step 2

Add the chopped veggies and water to make a consistent batter.

Step 3

Heat a non-stick pan, pour a spoonful of batter, and cook both sides.

Step 4

Repeat to make more and serve with chutney or ketchup.
