Protein-Loaded Christmas Gingerbread Balls Recipe For A Health-Conscious Gift

Building arty gingerbread houses and cookies has been a traditional practice worldwide during Christmas. This is a recipe that one can put together to make a perfect and healthy protein-rich gingerbread ball recipe. You can gift it to anyone you want.

Ingredients

1 ½ cups of rolled oats 60 grams of vanilla protein powder 1 cup of cashew butter 3 tablespoons of maple syrup 2 tablespoons of molasses ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract ½ teaspoon of ground ginger powder ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder ½ teaspoon of ground nutmeg ¼ teaspoon of  ground cloves ½ teaspoon of sea salt ½ teaspoon of white chocolate chips, for garnish ½ teaspoon of coconut oil

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, add the protein powder, oats, cashew butter and maple syrup. Stir it.

Step 2

Add the vanilla extract, cinnamon powder, nutmeg, molasses, ginger, sea salt and cloves.

Step 3

Mix thoroughly. You can use your hands if needed. Use a cookie scoop or a spoon to take out chunks of the mixture.

Step 4

Roll it into balls. Place on a baking tray or plate. Pop it in the freezer.

Step 5

In a small mixing bowl, melt the white chocolate chips using coconut oil. Microwave for 30 seconds.

Step 6

Take the gingerbread balls out of the freezer. Drizzle white chocolate on top.

Step 7

Put it back in the freezer for 10-20 minutes. Let it set. Pack them in festive boxes for Christmas gifting.
