Besan chilla is a quick, healthy, and protein-rich breakfast, made in Indian households. Prepared with besan (gram flour), paneer, moong, onions, and regular spices, this sets just the correct tone for the day.
1 cup besan ¼ cup grated paneer or tofu ¼ cup boiled moong sprouts ¼ cup finely chopped onions ¼ cup chopped spinach or methi leaves 1 tbsp chopped tomatoes 1 tsp ajwain 1 tsp grated ginger 1-2 green chillies chopped coriander Salt to taste Water to make batter Oil or ghee for cooking
In a bowl, mix besan with all chopped veggies, paneer/tofu, and spices.
Add water to form a smooth, lump-free batter.
Pour the batter on the tawa and spread gently like a pancake.
Cook on medium heat till golden on both sides.
Serve hot with green chutney or curd.
