Sweet, tart, and vibrantly refreshing, fresh pomegranate juice is perfect for a rejuvenating drink after a hearty monsoon meal.
2 medium- to large-sized pomegranates 1 pinch black salt (optional)
Rinse the pomegranates thoroughly under running water. Slice the top of each pomegranate thinly.
Cut each pomegranate into four parts. Place the chopped pomegranates in a bowl of water.
Using your fingers, remove the seeds (arils) while keeping them immersed in water.
Discard the floating white pith and drain the water using a strainer. Blend the pomegranate seeds until smooth, then strain to remove the pulp.
