Kheer kadam is a Bengali exotic sweet with small ball-shaped kodombos wrapped in kheer. If you want to make them at home, here is a 7-step guide.
1.5 litres of milk 2 tablespoons of lemon juice 250 grams of sugar ¼ teaspoon of saffron 260 grams of khoya ¼ teaspoon of rose water 100 grams of desiccated coconut
Boil the milk. Add the lemon juice and curdle. Remove it from the heat and transfer it to a cloth and squeeze.
Transfer to a board and knead it into dough. Take some mixture from the dough and roll it into a ball. Keep it aside.
Take a heavy skillet, add sugar, water and stir continuously until the sugar is dissolved completely. Add saffron and mix it well.
Add the prepared balls to it. Cook for 15 - 20 minutes on medium heat. Remove from heat. Cool for 15 minutes.
Remove the balls from the sugar syrup and transfer them to a bowl. Take a pan, add khoya and mix it well.
Add sugar and mix it well. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
Add rose water. Let it cook. Remove from the heat and cool it. Serve.
