Pizza is one of the go-to Italian meals, even in Indian homes. If you’re making a pizza at home, skip the preservative-laden pizza sauce and make a fresh batch at home. In just 5 steps, make the pizza sauce.
1000 grams crushed tomatoes 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 onion 3 cloves of garlic 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1/4 cup water
Heat some olive oil and saute the onion and garlic.
Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, chilli flakes, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer.
Once the sauce thickens, adjust the seasonings.
To get rid of chunks, blend the sauce till smooth.
Spread on a pizza base, add the toppings and cheese, and bake.
