The Picante is a bright tequila cocktail lifted by lime and coriander, but fresh jalapeños give it a lively heat that makes each sip exciting. The spice complements the citrus instead of overpowering it, creating a bold and modern drink perfect for evenings. It is refreshing, balanced and easy to assemble. Serve it cold with a thin jalapeño slice for aroma.
60 ml tequila 30 ml lime juice 20 ml agave or sugar syrup 1 fresh jalapeño slice A few coriander leaves
Lightly muddle the jalapeño and coriander in a shaker to release their flavour.
Add tequila, lime juice, syrup and ice.
Shake well until chilled and strain into a glass.
Garnish with a jalapeño slice.
