Petha, or pumpkin, is a highly nutritious vegetable. If you don’t like to eat it as a vegetable, perhaps you should try making a dessert out of it. Here’s an easy recipe to make pethe ka halwa.
1 petha (pumpkin) 3/4 cup powdered sugar 3 cups milk 3/4 cup khoya 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder 1 teaspoon ghee 2 tablespoons cashew nuts
Soak the pumpkin in water for a few hours till it's soft.
Peel the pumpkin and remove its seeds.
Remove extra water from the pumpkin and mash it in medium flame.
Add milk and sugar and mix well till all the milk is absorbed.
Mix in khoya, cardamom powder, and cashew nuts and cook till fragrant.
Top it off with some ghee and cashew nuts, and enjoy the hot halwa.
