This homemade pizza dough bakes into a soft, airy base with crisp edges, perfect for holding generous toppings while staying light and chewy, your kitchen will smell like a rustic Italian pizzeria.
2½ cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp instant yeast 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp salt 2 tbsp olive oil ¾ cup warm water
Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water; rest until slightly frothy, ensuring active yeast.
Add flour, salt, and olive oil; mix into a soft, slightly sticky dough.
Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth, elastic, and springy to the touch.
Cover and rest in a greased bowl for 1-1½ hours until doubled in size.
Punch down, shape, and rest 10 minutes before rolling and baking.
