Make cafe-style pizza right at your home with this easy dough recipe. This guide is perfect for beginners and home cooks who love to make fresh, flavourful pizza on their own.
2 cups all-purpose flour (maida) 1 cup warm water 1 tsp instant yeast 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp olive oil
In a bowl, mix some warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it rest for about 10 minutes until it turns frothy.
In another big bowl, mix maida and salt thoroughly. Even distribution will ensure an even-textured dough.
Add the yeast mixture and some olive oil to the flour. Mix and knead it until you get a soft and smooth dough.
Cover and keep the dough resting for about 1 hour until it rises. Slow rising will build the flavour and give that classic pizza dough structure.
Punch it down, divide into small portions if required, and gently pull to make a base. Avoid using rolling pins for a softer, bubblier crust.
Brush the base with some olive oil, add toppings of your choice, and bake. The dough will turn crisp on the outside while remaining soft inside.
