Papdi chaat is a crispy and refreshing snack that is perfect to tackle evening cravings. Munch into papdis swirled in a sweet dahi with dal-based bhallas. Top the chaat with your favourite chutneys and enjoy.
1 cup urad dal 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds Pinch of salt Oil for frying 2 cups dahi 4 cups water Papdi as required 1 tablespoon green chutney 1 tablespoon tamarind chutney 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds Chopped cilantro for garnish
Soak the urad dal and blend it with cumin seeds, ginger paste, and salt.
Deep fry small portions of the batter to make the bhallas and soak them in water.
Whisk dahi and water together and add the soaked bhallas to it, removing the extra water.
Add papdi, green and tamarind chutney with the spices and mix all the contents.
Garnish with pomegranate seeds and cilantro, and your papdi chaat will be ready.
