Transform your kitchen into a mini tandoor with this easy paneer tikka recipe. The soft paneer cubes are marinated in spicy yoghurt and then grilled to perfection. This recipe delivers smoky, spicy, and a little charred flavours that make it a go-to snack for every gathering.
250 g cubed paneer 1 cup thick curd 1 tbsp besan 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp turmeric 1 tsp garam masala 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp oil Salt to taste 1 onion, sliced into cubes 1 capsicum, sliced into cubes Skewers for grilling
In a bowl, whisk the curd, besan, and spices like chilli, turmeric, and garam masala. Add some lemon juice and oil for some tang.
Add paneer cubes, onions, and capsicum to the marination. Now, gently mix so that every piece is covered evenly with the marination.
Cover the bowl and keep it for marination for about 30 to 40 minutes. This will help the paneer to absorb the flavours and turn soft.
Line up the marinated paneer, onions, and capsicum alternately on the skewers to get an even mix of colours as well as textures.
Preheat the grilling pan or tandoor before putting the paneer skewers. Brush lightly with oil to prevent them from sticking.
Grill the skewers on low to medium flame for about 8 to 10 minutes. Turn the skewers slightly until it is charred and golden on all sides.
Brush the paneer tikka with melted butter or lemon juice before serving it. Enjoy with mint chutney and sliced onions for a perfect treat.
