Amp up the protein content in your dosa by replacing the go-to aloo mixture with a paneer masala. By just switching the filling, you can make your South Indian plate much healthier. Try this recipe.
For The Dosa Batter: 2 cups rice ½ cup urad dal ¼ teaspoon fenugreek seeds ½ teaspoon salt Water as required For The Paneer Masala: 1 cup paneer 1 onion 1 tomato 1 green chilli ½ teaspoon mustard seeds ½ teaspoon cumin seeds ½ teaspoon turmeric ½ teaspoon red chilli powder ½ teaspoon gram masala 1 tablespoon oil Fresh coriander for garnish
Soak rice, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds. Grind into a smooth batter and ferment overnight.
Heat some oil and add mustard, cumin seeds, chopped onions, tomatoes, and chillies.
Add in crumbled paneer and all the spices.
Pour a spoonful of batter into a pan, spread it into a circle, and cook on both sides.
Fold the paneer mixture into the dosa and serve with sambar and chutney.
