Palak Paratha: Winter-Special Recipe For A Healthy Punjabi Breakfast

Originating from Punjab, parathas are one of the most popular breakfast options that are now a staple across borders. For a healthy filling, you can make palak paratha and pair it with dahi and achaar.

Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour 1/4 cup chopped palak 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder 1/4 cup water Oil for cooking

Step 1

Knead dough with atta, palak, salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and water.

Step 2

Take small portions of the dough and shape them into balls. Let them rest.

Step 3

Roll each ball into a thin circle. Heat a tawa, drizzle some oil and cook the paratha.

Step 4

Keep brushing with oil and flipping till the paratha is cooked on both sides.

Step 5

Serve with dahi and your favourite achaar or chutney.
