Palak Paneer is a classic North Indian dish made with fresh spinach puree, paneer cubes, and a blend of spices. It is rich, creamy, and pairs beautifully with roti, naan, or steamed rice.
250 g paneer (cubed) 2 bunches fresh spinach (washed and blanched) 2 medium onions (chopped) 2 medium tomatoes (pureed) 2 green chillies 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp garam masala ½ tsp red chilli powder 2 tbsp fresh cream 2 tbsp oil or ghee Salt to taste
Blanch spinach in hot water for 2–3 minutes, cool, and blend with green chillies into a smooth puree.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, followed by onions, and sauté until golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste and tomato puree, cook until oil separates.
Mix in turmeric, red chilli powder, and garam masala. Stir in the spinach puree and cook for 5–7 minutes.
Add paneer cubes, simmer for a few minutes, and finish with cream.
