Paal payasam is a South Indian sweet dish prepared with rice, milk, and dry fruits. It tastes delicious and satisfies sugar cravings. Check out this recipe to replicate the dish in your kitchen.
4 tbsp sugar 3 tbsp basmati rice 1 litre of milk 1 tbsp ghee Dry fruits of your choice
Heat ghee in a pan and saute the dry fruits. Keep them aside to cool off.
Heat ghee and once it melts, saute the rice in it.
Once the grains are brown, add milk and let the rice cook in it.
Keep stirring in between. When the first boil comes, reduce the heat and let the payasam simmer.
When rice is cooked to perfection and milk has also reduced in volume, turn off the heat.
Garnish the payasam with dry fruits and enjoy.
