Oven-Roasted Carrots Recipe With A Sweet Caramelised Finish

Edges crisp up while the centre stays soft and sweet, soaking in a glossy honey glaze that turns slightly sticky in the oven. Every bite feels buttery, lightly smoky, and far more addictive than expected.

Ingredients

400g peeled & cut carrots 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp honey ½ tsp salt ½ tsp black pepper ½ tsp chilli flakes (optional)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a tray, then toss carrots with oil, honey, salt, pepper, and chilli flakes.

Step 2

Spread them out in a single layer so they roast evenly without steaming.

Step 3

Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway until edges turn golden and slightly crisp.

Step 4

Let them sit for 2 minutes after roasting to deepen the glaze.

Step 5

Serve warm with an extra drizzle of honey if you like a glossy finish.
