If khichdi is your comfort food, why don’t you take a step forward make the one-pot meal even healthier? To give your regular khichdi a protein and fibre boost, try this quick oats khichdi recipe.
1 tablespoon ghee 1/2 teaspoon jeera 1 medium onion 1 green chilli 1 inch of ginger 1 tomato 1/2 cup moong dal 1 cup rolled oats 1/2 teaspoon haldi 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste 4 cups water Coriander leaves for garnish
Heat some ghee in a pressure cooker. Sauté jeera, chopped onion and green chilli.
Stir in grated ginger and chopped tomato. Add moong dal, haldi, red chilli powder, and salt.
Mix in the rolled oats. Stir well. Pour in the water and cook for 3 whistles.
Once done, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with dahi, achar, and chutney.
