NYE 2026 Hangover? Ginger Turmeric Detox Water For The Morning After

This ginger turmeric detox water is meant to be warm, diluted and easy to sip rather than intense. It is traditionally used to ease heaviness after late nights, rich food and disrupted routines, making it suitable for the morning after New Year’s Eve.

Ingredients

1 inch fresh ginger, sliced ½ inch fresh turmeric or ¼ tsp turmeric powder 1½ cups water A squeeze of fresh lemon juice Optional honey or jaggery

Step 1

Simmer ginger and turmeric in water for 10–12 minutes on low heat.

Step 2

Strain into a cup while still warm.

Step 3

Add lemon juice and a very small amount of sweetener if needed.

Step 4

Sip slowly, preferably before breakfast.
