Beetroot paratha is a healthy and nutritious flatbread stuffed with beetroot filling and is made with wheat flour. It is perfect for a wholesome breakfast to start your day.
1 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup grated beetroot 1/4 tsp carom seeds 1/4 tsp cumin powder 1/4 tsp red chilli powder 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves Salt to taste Water for kneading Ghee or oil for cooking
Take a bowl, mix wheat flour, grated beetroot, spices, salt, then add water gradually and knead into a soft dough, leaving it to rest for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into small balls, and roll each ball into a flat disc.
Heat a tawa, cook the rolled paratha, flip and apply ghee to the other side.
Serve the paratha with yoghurt, pickle or chutney.
