Motichoor Modak is a innovative blend of two festive favourites—modak and motichoor ladoo. This sweet treat is perfect for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, combining flavour and festivity in every bite.
½ cup besan (gram flour) ⅓ cup water 2-3 drops food colour Oil for frying ½ cup sugar ¾ cup water ½ tsp cardamom powder 1 tbsp melon seeds 1 tbsp ghee
Mix besan, water, and food colour to form a smooth batter. Fry the batter in oil over medium heat until crisp. Let it cool and grind into coarse crumbs.
Prepare sugar syrup by cooking sugar and water to a thin string consistency. Add cardamom, ground besan, and cook for 5-8 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Stir in melon seeds and ghee, cool the mixture, and shape into modaks.
