Dosa batter doesn’t always need to be fermented. If you replace the traditional rice and dal-based batter with ground oats and rice flour, you can skip the fermentation. Follow these steps and make instant dosa.
1 cup quick oats ½ cup rice flour ¼ cup curd 1½ cups water 1 onion 1 green chilli Salt to taste A pinch of cumin seeds Oil for cooking
Grind the oats into a powder and mix with rice flour, curd, and water to get a smooth batter.
Chop the onion and chillies, and add to the batter. Mix in salt and cumin seeds.
Heat a dosa tawa, grease it, and pour the batter onto the tawa. Spread it into a circle.
Drizzle some oil and cook the dosa till crispy.
Serve hot with sambar and your favourite chutneys.
