Need A Refreshing Drink? Try This Beetroot Buttermilk Recipe

In summer, you need to increase your water intake to keep your body hydrated. However, water alone is not beneficial. You should try beetroot buttermilk, which is healthy and nutritious. The tangy flavours of beetroot and earthy notes of buttermilk will make it your favourite drink to beat the heat.


2 cups buttermilk 1 boiled and peeled beetroot Salt to taste Ice cubes (optional) A handful of coriander and mint leaves Roasted cumin powder ½ inch ginger 1 chopped green chilli

Step 1

Roughly chop peeled and boiled beetroot and add it to the blender.

Step 2

Add buttermilk to the mix along with ginger, green chilli, cumin powder, and salt to taste.

Step 3

Blend everything together until you get a smooth drink with a little foam on the top.

Step 4

Strain the buttermilk through a sieve to ensure no large chunks remain in the drink.

Step 5

Keep the beetroot buttermilk in the refrigerator for around 30 minutes.

Step 6

Pour the drink into a glass and top it with some fresh coriander and mint leaves.
