A traditional bhog for Navratri is not complete without an Indian sweet. Farali nariyal ki barfi is an impeccable option. Made with coconut, milk, and sugar, whip up coconut barfi in 5 simple steps.
2 cups grated coconut 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup milk 2 tbsp ghee 1/4 tsp cardamom powder Cashew nuts or pistachios for garnish
Take a pan and simmer the milk. Add sugar and keep simmering till it dissolves.
Turn up the heat and add grated coconut. Keep stirring till the mixture thickens.
Add in cardamom powder. Reduce the heat and let the mixture get to a dough-like consistency.
Once ready, transfer it to a greased tray and spread evenly.
Garnish with chopped cashew nuts and pistachios. Cut into pieces and add to the bhog thali.
