Lotus Stem Chips are crunchy and flavourful vrat-friendly snacks, prepared with thinly sliced lotus stem, ghee or oil, and light spices. They are a perfect tea-time treat during Navratri fasting.
1 medium lotus stem (thinly sliced) 2 tbsp ghee or oil (for shallow frying) ½ tsp black pepper powder Rock salt (sendha namak) to taste
Wash lotus stem thoroughly and slice into thin round pieces.
Heat ghee or oil in a pan and shallow fry the slices until crisp and golden.
Sprinkle with rock salt and black pepper powder.
Serve warm as a light vrat snack.
