Sweet potato chaat is a popular fasting snack prepared with roasted or boiled sweet potatoes, spices, chutneys, and garnishes. It is tangy, spicy, and makes a wholesome vrat snack or appetiser.
2 medium sweet potatoes (boiled or roasted, peeled, cubed) ½ onion (finely chopped) 1 small tomato (finely chopped) 1 green chilli (chopped) 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves (chopped) 1 tsp roasted cumin powder ½ tsp chaat masala Salt to taste 1 tbsp tamarind chutney 1 tbsp green chutney Sev for garnish
Boil or roast sweet potatoes until soft, then peel and cut into cubes.
In a bowl, combine sweet potatoes, onion, tomato, and green chilli.
Add salt, cumin powder, and chaat masala, then mix well.
Drizzle tamarind and green chutneys, garnish with coriander and sev. Serve fresh.
