During Navratri, many devotees observe a fast or generally avoid eating onions and garlic. Here are some dishes without onion and garlic to add to your vrat vali thali that don’t skimp on flavour.
Sabudana khichdi is a popular fasting dish made with sabudana, potatoes, peanuts, green chillies, and spices.
Made with buckwheat flour (kuttu), these pooris are a great alternative to wheat-based ones during Navratri.
Potatoes are the go-to vegetable while fasting. The easiest vrat recipe would be the comforting jeera aloo.
You can make sabudana tikki with mashed potatoes, soaked sabudana and a blend of spices.
If you’re not using table salt, having curd as is can be difficult. But you can make the healthy beetroot raita.
