Moong Dal Curry is a comforting and flavourful dish made with yellow dal and cooked in a fragrant and spicy gravy. It’s a perfect blend of warmth and heartiness, enjoyed with roti or rice.
1 cup moong dal 3 cups water 1 chopped onion 1 chopped tomato 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp mustard seeds Curry leaves 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp coriander powder ½ tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste Oil or ghee Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
Rinse a cup of moong dal and cook it in water and turmeric until it turns soft.
Heat oil in a pan, splutter cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.
Saute onion, ginger-garlic paste, and chopped tomato until it turns soft.
Stir in red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt.
Add cooked dal, simmer it for 10-15 minutes, and garnish with coriander leaves.
