Mushroom Pepper Fry is a quick South Indian-style stir-fry made with mushrooms, onions, crushed black pepper, and curry leaves. It is spicy, aromatic, and pairs well with rice or chapati.
200 g mushrooms (sliced) 1 onion (sliced) 1 tomato (chopped) 2 green chillies (slit) 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp black pepper (coarsely crushed) ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 sprig curry leaves 2 tbsp oil Salt to taste Fresh coriander (for garnish)
Heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves, onion, and green chillies.
Sauté with ginger-garlic paste, then add tomato.
Mix in mushrooms, turmeric, and salt. Cook until mushrooms release water.
Sprinkle crushed pepper, stir well, garnish with coriander, and serve hot.
