Mumbai-Style Paneer Frankie Recipe For A Perfect Evening Treat

Paneer frankie is a delicious Indian street food with a soft roti filled with spiced paneer and vegetables. It is quick to prepare and a perfect evening snack, customizable and loved by all.

Ingredients

For the Filling: 200g cubed paneer 1 sliced onion 1 sliced capsicum 2 finely chopped tomatoes 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp oil ½ tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp chaat masala Salt to taste For the Wraps: 4 rotis or tortillas 2 tbsp butter for toasting

Step 1

Sauté cumin in oil, add ginger-garlic paste, onions, capsicum, tomatoes, then add spices, paneer and cook for 2–3 minutes.

Step 2

Toast with butter in a pan.

Step 3

Spread chutney, add paneer filling, and top with pickled onions.

Step 4

Roll tightly and toast until golden.

Step 5

Enjoy with ketchup or chutney!
