Motichur Laddu: Make The Traditional Indian Sweet This Festive Season

Motichur laddus are a staple for the festive season. And if you’re avoiding buying sweets from the market, here is an easy recipe to make them at home. So, this Diwali, make motichur laddus from scratch.

Ingredients

1 cup besan 1/4 cup ghee 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon saffron strands 1/4 cup chopped almonds or pistachios

Step 1

Boil some water and add sugar. Let it simmer till you get a thread-like consistency. Set aside.

Step 2

Mix besan and ghee to make a crumbly texture.

Step 3

Heat some oil in a kadhai. Scoop small portions of the mixture and deep-fry till golden brown.

Step 4

In another bowl, mix boondi, cardamom, and saffron. Add sugar syrup and coat the laddus.

Step 5

Stir in chopped nuts. Shape the mixture into small laddoos. Let the cool and serve.
