Moong Dal Sabzi: A Nutritious Addition To The Spread

Ingredients

2 dry red chillies 1 cup moong dal ½ tsp mustard seeds Oil for cooking 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp red chilli powder Coriander leaves Salt to taste 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp cumin seeds

Step 1

Soak moong dal in water for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan.

Step 2

Add cumin seeds and other spices. Sauté for a couple of minutes.

Step 3

Add moong dal to the pan along with water and bring the blend to a boil.

Step 4

Cook until the water evaporates and the moong softens.

Step 5

Garnish the dish with coriander leaves and serve in a thali.
