Moong dal halwa is rich in protein and minerals. Not to mention, it tastes delicious and is a must-add to the monsoon spread. While you might think that making it is a tricky job, it could not be easier if you follow this guide.
½ cup milk ½ cup moong dal A pinch of saffron 4 tbsp sugar ½ tbsp suji 6 tbsp ghee ½ cup water ½ tsp cardamom powder
Rinse moong dal and soak it for 30 minutes. Blend it into a smooth but coarse paste.
Heat ghee in a pan and saute the lentil paste. Add suji too.

After stirring for 12-15 minutes, the lentil paste will turn crumbly. Pour water into it.
When the water is absorbed, add milk and sugar. You will stir a little easily at this stage.
Add saffron and cardamom powder. Mix the ingredients well and garnish with roasted nuts.
