If you need a quick and healthy snack, why don’t you try making fluffy dhokla? To make it extra healthy, you can replace besan with moong dal. Just follow these steps and enjoy the Gujarati staple.
1 cup moong dal (soaked) 1 green chilli 1 inch ginger 1/4 cup dahi 1/4 tsp hing 1 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp fruit salt Salt to taste Water as required For Tempering: 2 tbsp oil 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp sesame seeds Few curry leaves Chopped coriander
Grind soaked moong dal with chilli and ginger. Mix water and make a smooth batter.
Add curd, hing, sugar, turmeric, and salt. Let it rest.
Mix in fruit salt till frothy. Pour the batter into a greased pan and steam for 15-20 minutes.
Heat some oil, and make a tempering with mustard, sesame seeds, and curry leaves.
Slice the dhoklas, pour the tempering, garnish with coriander leaves, and serve.
