Moong Dal Chilla: High-Protein Recipe For A Healthy Breakfast Or Snack

Chilla is a healthy snack, which is usually made with besan. To make it healthier, twist dal: you can make moong dal chilla, add your favourite vegetables, and enjoy it as breakfast or a snack without any guilt.

Ingredients

1 cup moong dal 1 cup water 2 teaspoons oil ½ teaspoon ajwain ½ teaspoon red chilli powder ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder ⅓ cup chopped onions ⅓ cup chopped tomatoes 1 green chilli 1 teaspoon grated ginger ½ cup coriander leaves Salt to taste

Step 1

Take a large bowl and mix besan, ajwain, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt.

Step 2

Add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilli, ginger, coriander, and water to make a batter.

Step 3

Heat a pan, pour a spoonful of batter, and cook until both sides are golden brown.

Step 4

Serve hot with a bowl of curd and your favourite chutney.
