Moong dal badi is a popular snack prepared around this time. It is relished as a snack and often added to gravies too. You can store it in an airtight container for months and quickly whip up meals. Here is the recipe.
5 dried red chillies 2 bowls moong dal ½ tsp hing 1-inch ginger
Add dry red chillies and ginger to the grinder.
Add the soaked lentils to the mixer and grind.
Take out the lentil paste on a plate and add asafoetida.
Spread a poly sheet on the terrace and grease it with oil.
Drop a small amount of lentil paste on it.
Let the badi sun dry until hard. Store them in the container.
